Shit dood Good thing I don't live by any oceans. Although I have heard of sharks being in fresh water too
You'd be surprised what is out there. We shark fish all the time here from the beach and catch 8-10 ft hammerheads, bulls and Tiger sharks. We catch them right on the beaches all the tourists swim at.
That shark isnt the one you should be worried about. It's the ones you dont see.
And yes, Bull sharks likes fresh water. I think some of them give birth in the fresh water.

Haha. Maybe you're from Australia? We got heaps of them down under, one of my mates was attacked while surfing (survived but plenty of stitches).

When you shark fish, how far out is your line? What I'm getting at is how close to shore do the sharks actually come? Just curious.

I lived in Oceanside back in the 90's and remember seeing Great White's a lot when I would take the ferry to Catalina Island.
Went to Torrey Pines beach last weekend, saw 3 small sharks from the overpass, looking down into the shallow water. Not sure what kind they were, but they were about 2.5 - 3 feet long. pretty cool to see. Some guy was there with a rod and reel trying to catch one but they didn't seem to pay any attention to him.

yea that's pretty nuts, they have spotted a great white in the gulf of mexico couple months ago as well...which never happens!
Article funny. Over reaction funnier. They and other predators are always there. Watching, waiting, hunting, making choices. Hundreds of times an hour those choices don't include us, mostly.
