If the goal was to rid an enemy of the state why wouldn't we have treated it like any other cia assassination. Normally the cia doesn't do a news broadcast on who they directed to be killed. Not good policy if you are trying to win the hearts and minds of a people. "ohh hai guys. We just invaded a country to kill one person. Here he is - see pictures! Granted, I am citing Wikipedia as a source, and the audio recordings haven't been confirmed or anything, but I would hardly call that a fact.

Does that sound like the same guy, 3 years later? Sounds like someone a lot younger, maybe a past recording of him, but I definitely wouldn't say it was recorded by Bin Laden around the same time as it was released.
