iPhone Users...Is the iPhone 4 Worth the $$

I had the iPhone 2G, 3GS and now the iPhone 4. Between the 2G and the 3GS, I actually didn't see that much of a difference. But between the iPhone 4 and the 3GS, there are a bunch of things that I love with the 4. As others have mentioned, it's much faster, and doesn't crash as often as the earlier generations, especially when you restart the phone. Before it would take like a minute or two to restart the phone, with the 4, it's like 25-30 seconds.

What I love the most would have to be the retina display. The shit is so fucking clear, especially the apps that are built to support the display too. I could hold the phone 4 feet away from me and perfectly read the text of the screen, awhile with the earlier generations, it would be like 2 feet at most. Anyhow, the display got me sold completely.

Lastly, the camera got a huge improvement. I gave my 3GS to my girl, and whenever she takes a picture with it, and I take a picture with my 4, there is a remarkable difference. It's much clearer on the 4.

I'm also a huge fan of the box shape the 4 has.

yes the phone is worth it.

here's the important part - if you have applecare take your phone to an apple store and tell them it won't hold a charge and keeps freezing. these are major flaws and they will GIVE you a 100% new phone!!!!

After you get the new phone hop on over to CL and put that bitch up for at least $225 for a 3G. That will cover your upgrade cost to an iphone 4. I did it a few wks ago and I'm doing it again tonight for my wife's phone.

I hate Apple and their products but the video recorder on the iPhone4 is leet. Me and my friends made this video with a fuckign iPhone 4 and also most all of the editing was done with it as well, things are crazy:

And yes, that's me starring in the video. I've been waiting for agents to call me but so far nothing...I'm thinking they are a bit intimidated to call such a high caliber actor.

I have my 3GS egg xactly the way I want it. Plenty fast. No complaints. Maybe when the next version of 4.0 comes out I will switch. T Mobile sucks ass out of state. Manageable in So Cali.

I just found the Dexter app. My life is complete.

I think AT&T will upgrade your iPhone for people whose contracts are up in 2010, regardless of what month your contract is up. From what I read, this was a power play of them trying to retain users just incase Verizon gets the iPhone contract in the spring (in addition to AT&T).

But they wanted me to pay $500 or $600 for the upgrade. :hollering:

I've had BB's in the past and never really cared for them. The new Torch looks pretty cool though.

I found a new 16gb iphone 4 on ebay for about $500. Guy's overnighting it, so I should have it tomorrow. Looking forward to giving it a go. Thanks for everyone who helped me justify the purchase. I can sleep better at night now.

My iphone 4 is a nice daily phone for personal and business calling, with plenty of gadgets in it that I have not had time to explore yet, but for business I prefer using my Blackberry Torch, It is similar because it does have the touch screen and a physical keyboard as well making it more useful in my opinion. I got the iphone4 recently when my nokia n900 pissed me off when it kept freezing all the time and I gave it away to someone who was eyeballing it for the longest time and wished them well.

I decided to hold off on the 4 upgrade from my 3GS because of all the antenna crap that went on when it was released.

For those with the 4 today, does it seem like that issue is resolved yet... or at least is it better?

I already can't use my 3GS in my office which is in the basement, and while I know that's an AT&T thing, I'm worried about bad AT&T and bad antenna combined.

without reading any other post if y9ou have the 3g than yea the 4 is the shit bit if you some other dick brain phone then who the fuck knows

I got one recently, haven't noticed any antenna problems so far.

I agree with those who said the screen alone is worth it. After using it for a few weeks your eyes will become spoiled and any other phone display you see, including the 3GS, will look like pixelated garbage.

Its totally worth the money...and that's coming from someone who ditched the 3G for an evo and is now back with iPhone 4....

This was shot tonight on the iPhone 4, uploaded to YouTube by the iPhone 4, and posted to wickedfire by the iPhone 4...100% done on my phone...and I didn't do any editing, and as you can see I'm about 50-75 feet away from the stage on a balcony and the video quality is good, and sounds good.
