Newbie read to much and is now lost

Hi all.
So I have been interested in AM for some time, I spent more than a year toying with the idea. Reading allot then reading more. Now I actually don't know now where to go. should I be article marketing? should i be trying to build a solid affiliate site?????? should i jump into PPC, where shall i go?

I do have a niche idea. I am in love with a certain type of women from a certain country, there are 10,000+ searches on the topic each month...any way I think this niche I would like to get into.

Blow me. Yes I am asking for help.
Maybe no one would like to help me or just want to dickroll me, it's ok. I have met enough jerks already.

I have loads of time for training research etc.
I do have plenty of capital but apparently it;s not cash needed to get it right in AM.

Anyway to those who did read this, Thanks and happy AM
 


I think you should start with putting a website/blog online with some content about your niche. after a year of reading its time to take action. only when you start working you will see where to go with your niche and where the money is.

word of advice: dont do to many different things at the same time. stick with one site/niche and make sure that one works and makes you money. then move on to the next.

ooh before i forget --> start collecting e-mails from the beginning and start building your list

I do have an issuw with my niche, it seems all the money is in the Hotel booking side, so gonna have to include a affiliate link to hotel bookings, Thanks
 
So I gotta go where the money is, he he. Well in this niche, the money area is the hotel booking, so if there is anyone who classes them selves as a pro when it comes to making sites to take hotel booking, it would be great to speak with you.

that noob who started a month ago and actually tried things is light years ahead of you. Sadly, you probably need to unlearn all the BS you have been reading for the past year
 
Simply force yourself to pick ANYTHING.

When you procrastinate something terrible happens = nothing.

Think you're simply scared to fail and you want to make sure that when you 'start', you immediately start banking without error. < You'll NEVER have a 100% success rate with every campaign/attempt to flip or monetize your money and efforts. In fact you're lucky if you get 1 in 10 profitable as a newb. You MUST fail and do your own defeat analysis, you'll never be able to figure out the industry by simply observing and trying to negate any unforeseens in advance. Applied learning is your next step, and not one of your possibilities up there is stronger than the other as they all have potential.

EDIT: Gotta realize you are unique, your palette of writing style for ads, copy, your graphics, landers, calls to action, keys, etc. etc. is going to be different than anyone elses. You'll touch different emotions, your sequence will be better (or worse) than others. You can't template this with a cookie cutter winner, and nobody here will say "Do this first, this second, it will make you money for shizzle" without generalizing. You'd be better off asking about a specific within an existing campaign somewhere, this starting line you're at is a 'choose your own adventure' and I would indeed choose it myself not let anyone here influence you on what will work best.
 
If you had started a site six months ago you would be asking a different set of questions today. If you wait 6 months from now you will be asking the same questions in 2011. Pattern?

When I start a new niche (mainly because I am extremely anal) I want to plan and research it like crazy. I don't want to be a month into developing it and already have expenses before I realize I missed something.

Here's my process:

  1. Get an idea of a new niche
  2. Write idea down
  3. Finish working on last niche to the point where I can set and forget it to an extent
  4. Pull out my list of ideas
  5. Choose one
  6. Research idea, and learn all I can about it
  7. Write key points and other ideas about it down
  8. Write 3-5 ways to monetize those ideas (brainstorm)
  9. Check out CPA or CPL offers to see if they are viable
  10. Do some keyword research and Top 10 analysis for those keywords
  11. See how they are monetizing their keywords
  12. Check how many Adwords advertisers there are for those keywords and how many people actually click the ads
  13. If all looks good, I'll decide to start building the site
  14. Go back to list of ideas and start maping out my site around monetization ideas and keywords.
  15. Write or Hire a Writer for content (choose carefully here, depending on the niche you might need a different writing style to convert)
  16. Focus on SEO
Now, stop reading and get to work.
 
I you have been reading this long you should know the basics on how to start! Go to a Affiliate Marketing website find your niche and start writing! After that backlinks, seo, etc..to get rank in the big G to try to make some money!
 
Take your fucking "plenty of capital" and send it to me.. I have $100 in my checking account and I just spent $25 of it on ppc. I'll probably have negative roi but fuck it, I'm learning.

Just fuckin do something, jesus.
 
Dunno why I'm compelled to help this guy more...

Think of it this way:

You're in a car race, at the starting point. The lights turn green and you're still checking your oil, making sure your tires are good re pressure, checking gauges, revving, getting your helmet comfy, putting in extra padding incase you wipeout.. ... meanwhile the cars half your size/speed are doing laps around you and they have pit-stops when they need them.

You're either chicken shit to race and lose your slip, or your chicken shit to lose/not win compared to newer noobs. Either way you lose - if you don't get in the race you might as well just keep being a spectator/speculator forever. Who cares what path you take or what oil you use just step on the gas and hang on.

It's like the lottery slogans - if you don't play you can't win, even though it's fun to watch.

You've got to put your foot down and get started. Set aside specific hours each day and tell your family you're working and you are not to be disturbed. There are membership sites such as Chris Farrell's that take you thru getting started to marketing in your niche. There are also others, so research with a time limit and pick one and go with it and then get serious or flak off and drop the whole thing and quit whinning to us.
 
You sound like you want a winning niche/site on your first pick but that is never going to happen .. .maybe that's what is preventing you to take the first step ?

Even if you failed, you would definitely learn stuff, so I'd just go ahead and launch the niche site you are talking about. Once you have a site, you will move on to learn seo, automation, affiliate offers, etc and you could grow from there
