He's huge here in PA considering hes from Pittsburgh. Saw him a couple at a club a few years ago before he really blew up. He's true to what he says too.
 
khalifa is the next big rapper. dude is the shit. he needs more radio singles to get his name out there (like say yeah)...but legit, download his mixtape 'kush & orange juice'. soo good.

B.o.B. is another rapper with about as much recognition who is realllllllly good. better than khalifa IMO. Check out '5th dimension' and 'nothin on you'. dude has talent.
 
Yeah, known about him for a few years now due to the Pittsburgh rap scene. Always seemed pretty good to me.

I got to see B.O.B. live in concert a little over a year ago, before he was known, and the guy tore it up. Great live and on the record, even before he made it.

Another guy up and coming like that is Chiddy Bang. He is the shittt. By some miracle he performed at my school, which is unheard of (rap concert at a prep school? wtf??), and was siick. Too bad there was literally a mob trying to get into the door due to limited tickets. I made the mistake of wearing flip flops and almost got my toenail ripped off by the end of the night haha. By the end of the night, my friend and his girlfriend both had discipline cases because the police arrested them driving drunk with Chiddy in the car hahaha. According to my friend, Chiddy was passed out in the back, and woke up when the cop banged on the window and said "ah shit not again.."

Chiddy Bang is pretty cool, too. Xaphoon/Noah is really good on the sampling with the beats, and Chiddy rocks it on the mic.

Other good rap acts right now? Wale, Murs, Drake, David Rush, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other more unknown acts.
 
Oh yo BTW I forgot...the guy who opened for Chiddy is this dude XV. Heard of him? Probably not. But I swear he was even better than Chiddy, at least live.
