Damn, talk about intense.

Sounds like that lady is going to take it pretty hard but one less scumbag out there at least.

I feel more sorry for the lady then I do the creep.

Most would have reacted the same (shot him) but it's still a horrible predicament to have to be put in.

I'm not judging this lady and I'm not going to make this into some political discussion about the 2nd amendment

Every situation is different and really the only people that can judge are the ones in it. Since he's dead it's just up to her now to work it out. I hope that man wasn't mental ill and I hope that lady is not going to be after this episode.

After the incident, officers found Riley's truck and his sister a few miles from the home.
They say his sister was on so many drugs, she was nearly unconscious.
They believe he was on drugs as well.
Strange...

I'm all for using deadly force to protect yourself or your property but, instead of whispering to the dispatcher on the phone she should have been yelling at the guy trying to break in or maybe even fire a warning shot.

Heartbreaking situation for this woman, but I'm glad she defended herself instead of ending up a victim.

I got an email from a friend who is a Cpt in the USMC stationed in northern Iraq a year ago asking for me to rush a special kind of holster (that wouldn't ship to APO/FPO addresses). I asked why he needed this particular kind, and he answered that it was concealable and didn't have an extra guard on it.

And that he'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.

Needless to say- I got him the holster.

This quote was taken from the news article...

"But the man trying to break in had other plans, he then grabbed some patio furniture and broke the back door."

I'm all for using deadly force to protect yourself or your property but, instead of whispering to the dispatcher on the phone she should have been yelling at the guy trying to break in or maybe even fire a warning shot.

Fuck warning shots, if you're going to shoot, shoot to kill. Don't want to die? Then don't get fucking high and try and break in to someone's house to rob, rape, or kill someone.

That's intense.

Could she have at least yelled, "I have a gun!"?

Oh well, I own two shotties myself and I'd shoot too.

I'd probably shoot him in the legs or something though, I'd injure him enough so he couldn't do shit, but not die...

Anyway, he'd get a load of buckshot.
