The girl just came home from work with a copy of Modern Warfare 2 for the PC for me... anyone played it yet? As a PC user am I set for disappointment?

I've got a ton of shit to do so I'm afraid to install it.

I have it for 360 and love it. Haven't played multiplayer yet, just the single player campaign.

Is MP multi-system? Like, can 360 players play PS3 or PC players?
 
This game = major win.

I don't know why those douchebags are "boycotting" it... they may as well boycott every war based game and GTA as well.
 
I don't think you can go wrong with this game :)

Pre-ordered my copy on Steam and now I have to wait until Thursday :(

Going for Call.of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.2.PROPER-SKIDROW in the meanwhile.
 
Got this game last night and it's completely amazing. But I'm looking forward to the ultra-realistic Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is coming out a little later this year. There also promises to be a version for the Wii:

Man I'm tempted to just go out and buy a console (resisted the temptation this long) just to play this and COD MW3. Just sick.
 
I have it for XBOX but will be buying it for pc soon (nothing compares to pc gaming, sorry)

Yes, do not install that piece of shit if you got it for PC. They literally went out of their way to fuck it up (Activision). Like, it probably took them more work taking all the shit out of the PC version, than it would if they just left it in.

You know that third person mode, yeah, that started as a mod for PC.
No dedicated servers. There was something else too, but I can't remember at the, oh yeah, it's fucking locked at 30 or 60fps or w/e the console versions are locked at.

Infinity Ward literally ported the Xbox360 version to PC.

So yeah, definitely don't buy this for PC. MW2 isn't a shitty game. Just a shitty game for PC players.

However, if you're just playing it for the single player, then go for it I suppose...

But, if you're looking for a (single player) FPS, try Borderlands, Fear 2: Project Origin, HL2, Left for Dead 2, BioShock, etc, etc.

For multiplayer, I'd check out The Orange Box, Quake Live, Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor, BF:BC2, and a few others.
 
I've done zero work since getting this a couple of days ago. Eyes hurt and I'm way too tired to do anything productive :D
