Eric Schmidt speaks at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference on March 3, 2009 in San Francisco. He says some VERY interesting things.

What I learned:

1. Economy is effecting Google.

2. CPC is dropping and will continue to drop.

3. Google is in a unique position to weather, of not, profit from the terrible economy. And people who advertise with Google can as well.

4. The music industry needs to get a grip.

5. Mobile devices are the next step in the evolution of personal computer technology. And the first step in the subsequent enslavement of mankind by our benevolent robotic masters [sic]. So, let me be the first to welcome our new masters with open arms.

6. Cloud Computing is the next big thing.

7. Eric (Google) doesn't understand the potential of Twitter.

There was some pretty interesting Q&A going on too. It's good stuff. Keep informed! Information is what keeps you a head of your competition.

if the economy ever recovers, it will be nice to see my adsense earnings return to normal

His statements on Twitter are flat out idiotic. Or he is intentionally trying to down play them.

Excellent vid find, thx.

How is Twitter going to make Google money? Answer: It's not, so best to jawbone it down.

Anything that frees up the instant sharing of information between large numbers of people, that does not involve Google being in the middle and taking a nibble out of every pixel, is bad for Google growth.

The cheaper CPC talk makes me happy, a falling tide lowers all boats, and cheap cliks make Nikko mo moniez.

Thanks for posting these guys!

Charlie Rose interview was great as always.

Cheers
