It's just a banner, you can easily block/hide/disable it. Jon's gotta pay the rent and besides, this is an opportunity to critique the tactics of someone who is blowing what has to be a metric shit ton of cash on this one banner to that specific lander.
 
It is a sad state of things when there is more ROI to be had for guru banners on WF than for aff network banners or SAAS for entrepreneurs. I would see this as a change in the target audience now on WF more than anything else.

If there were more serious people here, high ticket SAAS or affiliate networks would be able to outbid guru bullshit any day and time.

I'm probably wrong, but if I remember correctly someone bought a banner here and I guess Jon or whoever didn't see it and took it down because it wasn't a banner that was suppose to be up. I'm not really helping with details, I'm getting old and I hate it.
