You know, first I saw the tats thing, and I was weirded out or just shocked I guess, as were many of you here and over at DP.. and well, just about anywhere. I posted about it and as usual didn't hold back. Then people kept linking me to threads and blogs about it, and as I kept going back and looking, I kinda warmed up to the idea. So I figured I'd reach out to Joe and get a quote to get a WF tattoo put onto him or hold a contest or do something. At the same time, I also thought that because it took balls and just sheer insanity to do what he was doing, that I started to really give him the respect for it.
So we spoke on the phone for a good hour. We swapped stories of the old days, BH seo ideas, similar views on how retarded WH seo's can be, you know, fun stuff like that. I also offered to have our coders and designers re-do his blog for free (we'd foot the bill), because it needs some sprucing up (it looks like 1995 hit it). I didn't want or ask for anything in return either.
So here it is. My formal apology for assuming that Joe was just some idiot or douchebag kid trying to get attention. He actually has a very lovely and shapely body. lol
Seriously. Joe is a fucking cool guy. He's a BH'er and proud of it. His ideas may be extreme, but they aren't hurting anyone and aren't illegal, and because they are so out there and out of the box, I have a lot of respect for him over it. I also think he's got a lot of talent to become a big boy BH'er someday because some of those ideas or passed projects were fucking cool.
So if he wants to come here and post, I say come on down buddy. Regardless of what your DP pals or some people here think or say about ya, you are more than welcome here, because it's rare to find people who are upfront and honest about shit they do or have done, and I can tell you from experience, especially here, people are quick to judge, and very often change their minds because they get to know the guys and girls here and see that we really are one big fucked up family of rejects.
