A bunch of grown ass dudes throwing a bouncy ball around is extremely unfascinating to me. When I was a little kid I was into it but I feel like I grew out of it a long time ago.

I walk into a bar and see people yelling at the TV during a sporting event, jumping around all excited, and I can't help but giggle inside.

Girls, stop flaugin', you don't give a shit who wins that game so stop acting like you do. I got some real bouncy balls for you.

Sports is the shit but rather than watching I like playing, boosts testerone levels and stops you from becoming a fat fuck.

I used to watch hockey everyday religiously when I was growing up. Also used to play. Now a days with everything going to shit around us I've started to see the bigger picture about how we are being subconsciously indoctrinated into sheep that are only concerned with their favorite team winning and not the predator drones spying on us, going to fight fake psuedo wars, paying taxes on everything right down to the air you breath, being a slave in a society designed to keep you from getting ahead - I have little time or patience for sports. I do watch olympics and occasionally the playoffs if my hometown team is doing well.

There is more important things in life. I remember I went for a drink with some buddies before and I didn't recognize the Pittsburgh steelers jersey some dude beside us was wearing. I told him I didn't watch NFL (hockey ONLY) and he asked me if I had balls. I told him yeah your mother almost bit them off. (was pretty pissed to insinuate that considering I'm looking down at this mindless sheep). He didn't say anything else but I'm laughing at this hopeless fool all the while thinking damn "I used to be like that". I legitimately felt bad for the poor fool.

It's just a way the growth and maturaity of men has been fixed. Fixed at the age of 15 for the rest of your life, thats how it seems. Sports sports sports, till the day you die you're watching sports. Watching international corporations that own massive sports teams where guys are paid millions of dollars each per year for throwing or kicking a ball around, something children do. Something you grow out of as you grow up.

H.G. wells talked about it. When your manhoods are taken away your only projection is through someone else. Someone else who on the weekend pretends to be your tribe, and that he's fighting someone else. Because in your own life you have no power at all. You have a fat gut from all that fast food you eat and all the booze you drink. But there you are, suddenly you see yourself as a warrior. For the weekend, what a joke.

Come on man, didn't you hear Yakupov just got picked up by the Oilers?!?!? This is important, life changing shit we're talking about here.

Just because LeBron got his ring doesn't mean you have to hate sports. He has been crowned, can't take it back bro. Move on. Your Thunder will get another chance.

You can't watch sports and worry about everything in life at the same time? Yikes. Good luck bro.

OP 100% right. Sports watching is a fantastic corporate vehicle for branding and rinsing money from people and no one dare say otherwise.

Sports doing on the other hand is boss.

Mitchell and Webb sum up the Murdoch empire control of soccer in the UK pretty well

Yep, I'm with the OP, no homo.

Always liked playing sports, not much watching unless I was personally involved like watching other teams in the league I played in. Can't get into the passionate discussions about pro sports my and eyes glaze over when some business associate asks me who's my team.

No, sports is more than a bunch of guys throwing balls around. It's fun as hell to do too.

Sports isn't something to be fascinated by, or marvel at. The fuck?

Watching athleticism, teamwork, strategy, etc. is entertaining. Being a fan of anything is stupid. Yes, stupid people love bread and circuses, but that doesn't mean that sports aren't entertaining.

For instance, I care about myself too much to care about David Rudisha, but this is a pretty entertaining minute and a half:
