Was talking with a friend of mine last night about pirate stations. He used to set them up frequently in the late 90s and still has all of the equipment.

Apparently there is a lope hole in the FCC law that say they have to bust you at the same address twice in order for your consequences to involve jail-time. I am currently researching this.

Yeah. Expectations can be a bitch.

Im bouncing around the idea of setting one up, it doesn't sound that hard. Was hoping that someone may have some experience with something like this.

Seems like a cool idea before the internet.

So was working outside and feeding cattle

fcc owns the airwaves brah. they gunna come raep you.

Its not really a question of if but when getting caught. Supposedly the way the law is worded they can only confiscate the equipment busting you at a specific address for the first time.

before you set one up, you need a reason to set one up.

A guy local to where I live had one set up for years at his house. 96.something - He played full length shows from like 7pm-4am every night and played a lot of local bands etc..
Dude had a pretty strong following and it was nice to listen to 2 hours of uninterpreted live Zepplin.

I was not necessarily thinking of doing the same exact thing but something along those lines.

I used to run on in the UK in the 90's. A lot of work, not something you want to take on just for LULZ
