It's just a natural reaction I get. Im not racist or anything but I went to a bar recently with my white friends (5 of them, so I didn't think anything about race) but I realized as soon as I stepped in that:
1. This was a "biker" club.
2. I was the only thing remotely black in there.
I'm not sure how to say this without coming across as very ignorant, but I just don't like being surrounded by whites. It makes me nervous. Ya'll are a friendly lot but I know what happens when you get drunk. Plus...you kind of look and behave alien to me. You're just too different, and not really in a very nice way.
I suffered through it anyway and it was generally a fun time but in the back of my mind I was constantly on my guard.
