So there I was, checking gmail account today for WF subscription emails and looking to the right panel in one I noticed that the ads over there were just not the usual google family fare:

WTF WF?

The thread linked to in that email had nothing to do with any of those topics... It was a political thread in fact.

I logged out of that account and into another Google account that I do not receive WF updates to and the ads were about the usual car insurance and crap like that.

So basically, whenever Gmail sees an email from WF, it categorizes us a pedophiles?

There was a post about a guy who was going to jail for that shit... They must have spidered that page...

That's BS that they offer ads like "Little Girls" though...

Switch to Yahoo -- they have No Clue whatsoever.
I do seem to log into my yahoo mail account more and more these days... Looks like I'll be fully moving soon.

That reminds me: March 1st (3 days from now) is when the new tie-'em-all-together rules go into affect for Google Accounts.

So everyone needs to DELETE YOUR HISTORY BEFORE THEN for all google services like youtube, gmail, search, all of it. For all of the google accounts you have a history on.

Don't forget! Or future Google will be able to search back to those older, untied-together accounts' history years from now!

Hopefully that helps.

This is why I browse with Adblock Plus.

I prefer to live in ignorance than feed the knowledge of the inevitable knock on my door that is to come once the Government chooses to act on my usage of Wickedfire and clamp a monitoring anklet on me because they think we are all pedophiles.

Some dude on 4chan like 4 years ago tried getting people to enter some search string in google, that when translated from a bunch of 1,0 and other character, was very very bad search term. So bad I don't even want to write it out... Was the day I debated every visiting that place again.

It's funny you say that. I just went through my gmail account a couple of weeks ago and deleted about 7 years worth of emails. They do not make it easy to delete your shit.

Send them a message (preferably a physical letter) saying you'd like all data held on you to be permanently deleted under the Data Protection Regulations. Enclose £10 (either in cash or as a check - they're allowed to ask for £10 as an admin fee).

At least there are some perks to them avoiding tax by incorporating in Ireland. ;)
