Help me understand: Three-month ban for putting special characters in thread titles?

Dear mods/admin/WF-ers

Will just keep this short and simple. Jest @ Nanexo's account was banned for three months.

First read the below:

You have been banned for the following reason:

Do not put <<<<>>>>> *** ~~~ or anything other than normal text and characters in your titles.

Reminder do not put special characters in your titles this includes { [ ] or anything like this.

If I have to correct your thread you will receive a 2 Day Ban the first time, 2nd time will be Perm Ban.

Also do put excessive amounts of anything in your thread examples !!!!!!, +++ etc.

Keep your titles nice and neat.

For the record, our thread titles for our existing services are:
Phalanx V2+ 750 words+each 25 - 0 footprint properties 10k's of tiered unique links!; and
[RAVE REVIEWS] Social Bookmarking "*AI* GHOST" ULTRA REVOLUTIONARY BOOKMARKING!

What I do not understand is:
a) Why did we not receive a notification about this?
b) Why did our "2-day ban" suddenly became a 90-day ban?
c) Why were we banned when others have been let off scot free? Examples below:

If this is indeed true, then everyone is liable to be banned for having at least one special character in the thread. So boobies and vaginas in the forum is okay but special characters NOT in excess is not? Please help me understand this, WF-ers.

I think they want the URLs neat coz of SEO purposes and becomes it draws "unfair" attention to the thread.
 
There is a lot more too it than that he has had many many warnings.. Your fucking perma banned now and anyone else that comes crying to me about him will be banned.. done with you. Try me keep it coming..
