Croatia?

Driving the dalmation coast is beautiful... highly recommend that area. When we were in Dubrovnik it was flooded with cruise ship tourists, but a really cool city when there were less crowds.

there are some great techno parties in Split apparently.

The Islands off the coast are great. Don't just drive cost, get a boat trip. The hydrofoil to Mljet is especially worth doing.

If you like mountains, head over the border to Bosnia. Far fewer tourists, and incredibly beautiful. Could be a bit hardcore in Winter though.

Just stay away of the football stadiums, bars, etc. Croatian fans are cruel violant psychos.

i stayed in rovinj... loved it. not many tourists. took day trips around porec and pula. need to go further south next time... maybe on a sailboat. zagreb is also worth visiting.

yo i just took a month and kicked it around croatia/the boz/serbia romania. croatia was by far my least favorite. yes the coast is pretty but the locals hate tourists, customer service is non existant and its overrun by australians and brits. go to dubrovnik, grab the bus to mostar bosnia and be prepared for a complete 180 its a whole different world. its true balkans and the whole damn country is rock and roll. if you insist on going to croatia, the only towns I liked was bebincje (its like 20 minutes from split, it has awesome views, great beaches and is nice and quiet) and zagreb had alot of beatiful women (still nothing compared to serbia which was the highest concentration I have ever seen).
