CVS told me earlier this month that they stopped the manufacturers since they reached their pill threshhold and will have it by the end of the month so I was like ok I'll take a little break. Went to CVS today and they said that the DEA stopped it for sure until further notice and it's because everyone is being wrongly subscribed and there's an unbelievable demand for them.
 
Do you actually need it or do you just use it for focus and to get into the zone? One of my IM buddies told me to use it for concentrating.

I got a bottle of IR and XR 10 and 20mg but have never had the chance to use them... I like my caffeine too much and I'm afraid it will screw up the effectiveness.
 
I got an Adderall prescription a few days ago, had to call around 10 stores before I found a place that had any in stock...
 
Are you guys who get prescriptions genuinely ADD? Every time I`ve asked the doctor to prescribe something they`re like "You don`t need that stuff, just sleep better and drink more water" etc. I`m like fuck you, I want superpowers, but they don`t back down.

The whole DEA thing, for the record, is a load of bullshit if that's the "reason". Its prescribed to just about anyone. The original manufacturers of the name brand version pushed it HARDDDDDDDD. Hell, even teachers these days are sending notes home to parents telling them to have their kid checked out and that they believe they have ADD. Since when do teachers have the authority or even the absolute knowledge to know if a kid has ADD at all? They don't. Hell, there is no actual set in stone definitive spec of how ADD is caused or how to cure it. All the shrinks do know is that dopemine = good, and more dopemine production = really good!

For the record... Ritalin should NOT be used by anyone up until the age that their brain is no longer in development mode, because the side effects are pretty hardcore. The long term studies results that were released a year or two ago show that the numbers are pretty staggering in the increase of depression and suicidal thoughts/tendencies in otherwise perfectly "normal" developing kids/teens. I'm so glad I didn't take it for more than a month when I was a kid.

Then again, I'm not a doctor or a shrink of any sort, so you should chat it up with your doc first and see what's going on for sure.

Funny you bring this up my son came home the other day telling me that the teacher made his friend go on these pills, to fix his behavior problems in school. Even he knows its bullshit and he is in 3rd grade

Its a total crock of shit... Teachers can't even manage to teach kids in the US correctly, but they can diagnose kids with ADD? Right.

They just want the easy fix to numb the kids who get up and act like, well.. kids. So they can have a quiet classroom... well if silence and order is what you want, don't be a teacher, go work at a morgue. Condescending douchebag teachers really piss me off.

That means it shouldn't be used til the age of 25 - that's when the brain is fully developed.

ADD isn't a real disease. It's a problem caused by how unsuited the educational system is to modern society, which has then been leapt on by the pharma companies as a money spinner. Those fuckers are out of ideas when it comes to curing real diseases, so they invent new ones to help them sell off their old shit. All of the drugs used for ADD now are just reformulations of the stuff they were selling to housewives in the 60s to help them lose weight.

I don't understand how doctors can happily prescribe amphetamines to children. The minimum age to be prescribed shit like that, if at all, should be 16, if not 21.

It makes the hippocratic oath a fucking joke.
