Anwar al-Awlaki killed in Yemen

This would be the deafening sound from the left if it happened under Bush. Odd that the liberals have compromised their values so much to support the President. Guantanamo, Patriot Act, Libya, violating sovereign borders, etc - I thought all of these things were what they hated so much about Bush.
No idea about the Patriot Act thing and the violating sovereign borders, but he tried shutting down Guantanamo, but it got rejected by congress, and Libya was a bit different from Iraq/Afghanistan. The invasion of Libya seems, as far as I can see, to be welcomed by the majority of the Libyan population. Plus, it was the UK & France that actually did the invading, Obama followed suit cause he felt he had to, or it'd make the US look bad.

It does not change the fact that we took it upon ourselves to get involved with something that was none of our business.

Due process is for captured criminals. The left as a whole has never thrown a fit over enemies killed in combat.

Al-Awlaki and one of the guys he was with were US citizens, not enemy combatants. And we're not at war in Yemen so it's not a combat situation. They were targeted CIA hits which the Left would have been having an aneurism over if this happened 3 years ago - let's be honest about it.
yep. i don't care how afraid you are of terrorists... it isn't right to kill someone until it's proven they've commited a crime. especially in a country other than your own.

They scream until their man-titties turn blue when there is a Bush-era rendition. But Obama can kill them outright without a whimper.

The strongest sets the rules, it has been and always will be that way. And the "good" and "bad" guys is just an excuse for the masses.

Dennis Kucinich and a few others tried to get congress to recognize it as illegal, but they didn't get much support from their colleagues.
