I admit, I haven't kept myself current on the weapons and tactics used by police forces in the U.S. I know they are unionized, lack real competition, funded by state thugs, and thus, think (accurately, it seems) they can do whatever they want.
I realize some police forces have "upgraded" their arsenals with armored tanks. That's understandable. War zones like Portland, Maine (WTF?!) definitely need them.
But the following news item caught me by surprise...
