I remember that topic too. Less than a week after that thread was started, my Economics teacher showed it to the class on the whiteboard. I laughed.
Awesome! Judging by the amount of data that site must have taken off. It's also funny to see the price trend across the nation.

I started this site with a friend about a year ago. Wickedfire was one of the first places I posted when we just started and had no data.
We indeed got some coverage in Wired, after a university professor turned our data into some awesome heat maps.
