CNN's Cafferty ran a piece today about Camp Obama's plan to win the White House in 2012. Here's a trailer...

'Hope" and "change" may be a distant memory when it comes to President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.

Politico reports the president's campaign will center on a "ferocious personal assault" on Mitt Romney's character and business background. This is based on the expectation that the Republican front-runner will be his party's likely nominee.

It's worth reading if you like political strategy. And it's very short. Here's the link again. The Politico piece mentioned by Cafferty can be found here. It's also worth a glance.

So, Obama and Romney... if that's truly the match-up, and there's a good chance it will be, I think this contest may go to Camp Obama.

Then again, this all may be nothing more than a threat hurled at Romney in hopes he'll chicken out. (Or at the GOP so they won't pick Romney)

Independents are not fans of smear campaigns. The 45% who vote Dem and 45% that vote Rep don't matter. It is the 10% of Independents that decide things.
 
Let's see it's a year before the election, and a bit...
Going back in history:

1. Carter was going to beat Bush, who no way was going to lose to that nutty actor in the primaries, Ronald Reagan.
2. Bush One kicking ass in the Gulf War One, no way he was going to lose to Slick Willie
3. Gore was going to kick Bush Two ass in 2000.

Gotta love predictions this time of year.

(Note: Not saying I'm an Obama fan.)

Hmmm... that's not quite how I remember those things happening. Maybe the booboise thought those things, but I've followed political strategy a long time. The one that came closest to being a surprise was #3. But that was always gonna be a close contest.

Obama's campaign is going to be 100% based around how Romney is a "weird mormon". And unfortunately that's going to work pretty well. Mormons believe in some WACK shit.

But mormons can't get elected... WAY too many others religions see them as a threat... 2nd only to Islam.

I seriously doubt romney will be picked... It's a suicide for the GOP if they try that.

(But then maybe RP will switch to Indi again and win for a change!) ;)
 
Hope is a great thing, but hoping that politicians will make a difference has proven to fail.
 
Obama will win 2012 in a landslide. For example, just picture Obama and Romney is a presidential debate. No way Romney would walk out of that looking good.
 
Obama will be reelected easily probably in another landslide like last time.

The republicans have no serious candidates.
 
^^^^ I somewhat agree, but I would bet money Obama will not get re-elected. Life sucks for a shitload of people right now, and most sheep think it's Obama's fault (whether it is or not is irrelevent)
