Just saw this email in my inbox:

Hello Joseph,

Not long ago, we reached out to all of our publishers to conduct a survey on their thoughts and concerns relating to MaxBounty and performance marketing through CPA networks in general. One of the most common responses from all publishers, both large and small, was that they'd like to see MaxBounty offer weekly payments.

MaxBounty launched in 2004 with the goal of being the first network created by affiliates specifically to provide a higher level of service to affiliates. Since our launch 7 years ago, we've always made the needs of our affiliates our top priority. We were among the first to move to net15 payments, provide sub-ID tracking, provide direct deposit payments, provide PayPal payments, provide an API, and offer weekly payments to our higher volume publishers.

Today, we continue to make affiliates our top priority by introducing weekly payments for all affiliates, regardless of their volume. This change to weeklies for everyone takes effect immediately, and the first round of weekly payments will go out later this week. Please do note that while weeklies are now available for all publishers, there are still a few small eligibility requirements (including meeting our minimum payment threshold and being setup for electronic payments). Your affiliate manager will have full details.

Thank you for your continued business with MaxBounty. We look forward to continuing to introduce changes that improve your work as an affiliate.

Haven't run with them in a while, but looks like a response to Epic getting rid of weeklies.

[thought this thread was better than yet another Osama thread]

Smart move. But if their interface is the same as it was 2 years ago when I last logged in, then I don't see myself or many switching over.

^^

I spoke with someone from MaxBounty a few weeks back that briefly mentioned this, so I can definitely confirm that this isnt in response to Epic and is just a case of gradual progression.

As Steve said as well, it takes weeks, even months, to get everything set up to move to weekly payments and I have seen this first hand.

Let's avoid some shitstorm network vs network battle royal for now.

Even if this was done purposely, I wouldn't see it as a retaliation. Just a predictable and good move.

Nah, this isn't in response to Epic. It takes weeks to plan, code and setup this kind of change. We made the decision to go to weeklies long before Epic made their change.

Woot finally you have weekly payments like most other reputable networks had 3 or 4 years ago :D

This was a reaction to EWA, 2.5 years late.
Yeah, I suppose we could have done that 2.5 years ago, but it was a little different for us because we weren't brokering all of our campaigns from other networks and getting weekly payments from them. Let's be real here, your risk to starting out on weeklies was almost zero so it isn't all that much of a bragging point.

ZING!

First off, lower your tone when you speak to a boss. You've been around what... 7 years? That's just plain sad, considering I lapsed you twice last year alone. I'll see you at the top, it feels good up here looking down on you.

Kiss that ring there, I'll forgive.

Interestingly enough, I predicted this exact response from you when I responded to your initial thread-jack. While your persona of the "Birdman" may be stale and tired, you feel it's still working for you, so more power to you I suppose. But you have to know it is neither frightening nor intimidating to anyone over the age of 20.

That's something you might want to keep in mind as you start to get a little older. Everyone knows the Birdman is just a persona and that the real Ryan is a pretty decent guy to deal with. You've even e-mailed me a few times and been quite decent. It's the real Ryan that has led to the success of your network, not your alter-ego, and I think you know that. So you might want to think about retiring the Birdman before you get to an age where it becomes ridiculous and cartoon like. I think you'd do better for it in the long run and get the real respect you deserve, but that's just my opinion.

While I'm trying to be civil, it wouldn't surprise me if you simply ignore my words and reply with the hyperbole of "stackin paper, fucking bitches, grinding 24/7 and destroying all who don't bow down before the Birdman". That would do nothing more than prove my point and be kinda sad. But I suppose it would keep the thread interesting.
