Just got a phone call from "MasterCard Security Department" saying there had been unusual charges made and wanted to verify I made them. So they asked me for my card numbers and expiration date and the three digit security code from the back...the thing is, I don't have a MasterCard and have never once had a MasterCard, I can see a lot of people getting screwed by this. Just a heads up, watch for this. It was an automated message.

I figured with all the people on here with high end limit cards it would be wirth it to give a little warning to all my WickedFire brethren

I get these calls from Visa and AMEX all the time, especially AMEX. Everytime I get a call from them I am like, "are you for real?" and very apprehensive.

My calls so far have all been legit, and they NEVER ask for your card number. So, if some one calls from your CC company and tells you the charges you made and where they were made to, those are legit. If they ask for your card number, they are not legit.

My woman and I watched Matchstick Men last night. I asked her, "Let's say we're con artists. What's our first job? Go!"

She came up with the MC/Visa scenario. I've been working the phones all morning.

It's not new or slick, if you have 2 brain cells you should be safe

Probably anyone here with a high limit card would also be shrewd enough to see through a paper thin scam.
