SOOOO I'm car hunting right now... looking to spend no more than 25-30K

I want something thats luxurious/comfortable on the inside, looks badass,

and most importantly is fassst as fuck. (350+ horsepower :D )

I've been looking at 2003/4 Mercedes E 500s or E 600s - (v8, comfortable, looks badass) but the high maintenance costs kinda make me nervous.
I'm also looking at 4-door cars because its always nice to have room to haul some shit, and I'm 6'6" so legroom is an issue with alot of the smaller coupes.

My brother's trying trying to convince me to buy a stock honda civic and just throw some cash into it to make it faster... but idk.. somehow to me a civic just doesn't command enough respect...

any ideas WF?

You can always try a slightly used 745. Not an M3, but looks sick and fits lots of bitches. Make sure its black on black.

Second choice would be an Audi.

I think I'll wait for the new 5 series to age a year or so. Will be buying soon also.

Hey, just making sure, but don't buy a honda civic. Seriously, if I had a dime for every douchebag who thinks hes certified top shit just cause he drives a civic with a body kit, I would have enough for lunch at wendys

I have an ML500 and for an SUV, it hauls ass and is pretty comfortable. I'm sure you'll like an E500 just fine

I've heard that the 500 is more reliable than the 550 and 600, but that might vary depending on the class.

Drive a honda civic first, then go drive a Mercedes or BMW. It will be an easy choice after that

Black or white slightly used 2009 TL...almost brand new, plenty of power and luxury...but of course everyone will suggest a 5+ year old, bmw, audi and benz. I'd also consider a G35 coupe. I'd rather have newer and sacrifice the 50 hp.

(I have the TL, get the audi. More fun to drive)

Or consider the Lexus LFA, but upkeep can be a bit much.
Like each tire being $4k os something like that.

I'm not disagreeing they aren't nicer cars than a TL or G35 let's say, find one in the price range the OP mentioned though, $25-$30k. Good luck bros.

not sure where you guys are buying 745's or s5's for 25k... but if you are... let me know i will buy a couple and sell them for double....

@ 350hp and luxury you need to double that budget op....

how about 300 hp and luxury... older bmw 335i sedan will bring you to 300hp and should be enough room and class... you can also do a g35 sedan since you wanted 4 doors..

goooood luck

good point, missed that.

Maybe look at a 06-08 TL or A4, but they're about 250hp...

For that price range you might be giving up quality/style for horsepower.

Options could be camaro, mustang, challenger... what else?

I've known several people that got older euro models and were nickel and dimed to death on little stuff until they sold off their beamer/benz.

The TL feels bigger than an A4 inside... usually enough get up n go for most

745's were only made till 2005 so you can EASILY get them well below 25-30k, and you can get them as low as 10k.....but for 10k you're gunna have 130k miles + a dirty title. Can find a nice one with low miles for between 15-20k. I'd stick to a 03-05 though, im always sceptical over the first year of a new model (2002).

Since you are 6'6" go sit in a Honda Civic or most small 4 doors to quickly convince yourself you dont want one. It will be where your knees are touching or almost touching the dash unless they have changed a lot in the past. Plus addons to a 4 cylinder just make a high strung no torque engine that you need to abuse to get anything out of it.

I would actually suggest a coupe since your seat will be way back and in a lot of 4 doors the door sills between the front and rear doors will be your view to the left or right. Its bad for visibility or in a crash.

I would suggest a great 2 door with lots of power and that have depreciated fairly quick since the new ones have V8s.... Yep BMW M3:

BMW M3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 3.2 is awesome and Straight 6s are very good, smooth, strong engines. 343 Horsepower is just 7 shy of what you said.

Look around for a while and you just might find a deal. 2001 - 2006 so the miles could be a bit of an issue.
