Best bank for business accounts?

To me, the 'best' bank is the one that greets you by name when you walk in the door.

We use Bank of America and they have been good to us. They have bent over backwards several times to push things through faster or eliminate certain red tape or limits on things. Our merchant account rep used to come to our office just to check in and say hi. (Which was a stark contrast to prior providers!)

Just my 2 cents. :)

It's always amazing to hear about the huge differences people can have with a company. What I mean is, that I've had a personal bank account with BofA for a couple of years now and they have been nothing but atrocious to deal with. I guess that's just the huge difference between having a rep and not, though.

I totally agree. I have heard horror stories about just about every bank.

I'm with Laura. Bank of America has been great to deal with for my business account. The bad reports I've heard on BoA have been personal accounts, so maybe they treat business customers better.

stay away from citizens - there online support is terrible. even their tellers tell me that. it was so good when charter one but now online is unbearably bad.

Ill throw in my vote AGAINST BoA....

I agree with geekcognito, I had nothing but problems with them when I had my checking account and now with my credit card.

Regarding my checking account they would always take up to 2 weeks to clear deposits, payroll deposits no less, I went in and asked a few times and they said that "its the standard time for a check to deposit" (bullshit) and they would often clear half of my deposit one day, then the next day they would take it off. Lots of BS like that

With my credit card, I had a fraudulent charge from one of their affiliate companies, I called up, asked to speak to their fraud department and I was transferred to the main menu, after waiting for 40 minutes. I called the fraud department 3 times and all 3 times I was told I needed to be transferred to someone higher and again, put back to the main menu....

Yeah well I have dealt with some terrible banks, but BofA has been awesome to me personally and with Millnic Media. But also I am in the south where they better be hospitable or they go out of business.... lol. well you know what I mean, I hate snobby ass people

I have Bank Of America accounts for both personal and business accounts. They have been pretty good for both but I do think they favor business accounts. The only issue I have with them is their fees for some things can see quite high.

Ok, personal opinions aside because we all know that the service can vary from branch to branch- which bank has the best features/incentives for a business account?

Bank of America has always been great for me. BUT if you aren't on top of things and do stupid shit like overdraft, they will fuck you hard.

I've heard good things about Wachovia too.

Chase has always been good to me. My guy that works at the bank is real cool gives me a deal and helps me save money and not pay certain taxes. Chase IMO is really great.

I've got 2 business accounts at Suntrust....
They're okay and everything, but their website is really lacking if you ask me, it looks like it was made in 5 seconds.

I use Chevy Chase for personal and their website is much better :)

You might try an internet based bank. They don't have branch locations you can visit but because of the lower overhead they are able to offer considerably higher interest rates (as long as you consistently have over $5k). I hear etrade is pretty swell but haven't used them myself.

go off-shore bro :), btw as replying to this i noticed the site got "owned" I hope this post goes through.
