Was curious how some of you felt about this?

keyword1-keyword2.com
keyword1keyword2.net

which one and why?

Frankly I'm not an SEO expert, but I would opt for the .com, but never with a hyphen if I can help it. You can re-word it and/or and a word or two in between our around you keywords to get a decent name.

.net for sure. Ive done a lot of testing and if you have a .net keyword rich domain you can easily get 1st page Google rankings with no backlinks for even quite competitive keywords.

2 or 3 words seems to work best. If you use more words in the domain it doesnt work.

.com with no dash is always best from a marketing standpoint. People have been programmed to go to "www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com" and if you throw a dash in there, or a different TLD, you're likely to lose out on some traffic due to people mistyping it.

This is especially important if you are running TV, Radio or print ads, not so much with PPC because people are just going to click on your ad. PPC feel free to use whatever you want. Personally, I don't care what it's for I always go for the .com without a hyphen.

Agreed. People constantly forget there are other TLD extensions. If you are going to lead them down a path to your site (backlinks, ppc, advertising, etc...) then don't worry about the domain.

From an SEO standpoint, I think either should be fine today though without a large sample pool, it would be hard to tell you whether Google and other SE's give an advantage to one or the other.

I would go with a .com and find a way to not have the hyphen. Even keyword1keyword2x.com is better in my opinion.
