Hey everyone,

I've been reading a lot and dabbling a little with various IM stuff for a couple of years now. I've made probably a few hundred dollars but have always had so much info going through my head I've always been thinking rather than doing. I came across Eli's blog and then Wickedfire a couple of months ago and since then things have started to change. My new mantra is DO IT FUCKING NOW!

Anyway, to try to combat the information overload I've tried to write out a plan of what I am going to do. I've already started doing this, made a little cash and have a couple of hundred pages indexed.

I'm not a big poster on forums (as you can see by comparing my join date to my post count!) but I wanted to post this to try to get some feedback on whether I am heading down the right track. This is all based around Eli's awesome SEO Empire posts. I've discarded all the other crap I have accumulated in my head and just tried to focus on implementing this model.

I've really tried to stop myself from doing absolutely everything at the start and instead just focus on a couple of techniques. I figure once I have things established then I can introduce some other techniques like Link Laundering Sites and some PPC.

Goals:
1) $100/day by June 08
2) $300/day by Jan 09

Tier 1: Cycle Sites
I'm using cycle sites for a bit of revenue but also for the links that I will redirect to my DB sites to get as many pages indexed as possible. I'm chasing quantity rather than quality of links. I've managed to bumble my way through automating the creation of cycle sites. I've tested different layouts, plug ins, adsense placements etc and now have a model that is working reasonably well for me. Here is the plan:
1) Create a first batch of 100 cycle sites (mostly on subdomains)
2) Let them run for three weeks
3) Remove first batch and replace them with some relevant content and adsense
4) Create second batch of 100 cycle sites
5) Let them run for three weeks
6) Remove second batch and replace them with some relevant content and adsense
7) Redirect first batch to DB sites to aid in indexing
8) Rinse and repeat

Tier 2: DB Sites
My BD sites will be used of course to generate revenue but also to provide link power to my money sites. I've completed three database sites using free databases I have found online. I have around 100,000 pages uploaded but only about 200 pages indexed. I'm only running adsense on these pages at the moment and have done zero link building except redirecting a few cycle sites to them. Link building is next on my agenda and my goal is to just get as many pages indexed as possible. This is my link building plan:

1) Use "script footprinting" to locate directories running common directory scripts and automate the submission process (I have this working already)
2) Deep linking using mulitple accounts across multiple social bookmarking sites (need to automate but I should be able to work it out)
3) Parasite hosting anywhere that offers free subdomain hosting to deep link for indexing purposes
4) Deep linking using Black Hole Seo

I'll also be uploading 100,000 pages per week. My big question here is where to get databases from. Should I just purchase them? Scrape them? Buy something like the Yellow Pages Scraper perhaps? Any thoughts or tips on this would be appreciated.

Tier 3: Money Sites
To be honest this is where I have put the least amount of thought and energy. I figured that I should concentrate on building a solid network (that still generates good revenue) first before worrying about the money sites too much. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I be building these at the same time as well? Are affiliate landing page sites the best option here?

Thanks for taking the time to read this big ass post (assuming you haven't just skipped to this part:)).

Any thoughts, feedback or help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Cheers for the response emp.

It is hard to draw a conclusion at this stage because the traffic is so low. I figured I'd give it a little bit of time to hopefully pick up some more long tail traffic then experiment with an affiliate program.

The site that has the majority of the pages indexed (Cheers to Seocracy for the database) is in the christian niche so I should be able to find some decent affiliate offers for that.

The cycle sites are a lot more profitable than the DB sites at this stage but I know as I scale my DB sites that will change.

Cheers for the response emp.

It looks OK so far but the traffic is so low. I figured I'd give it a bit more time (to hopefully pick up some more long tail traffic) then experiment with some affiliate offers.

I'm just using adsense on the cycle sites as well but the next batch I create I'm going to do half with adsense and half with PeakClick to see how PeakClick performs. I've heard good things about them.

I was actually asking about the DB sites, not the cycle sites.

::emp::

Yeah sorry I edited my post when I realised my mistake.

The traffic to the DB sites is really slow so I haven't really formed an opinion on whether it is working well or not. The site with the most indexed pages is in the christian/religious niche so probably is a good candidate to try some affiliate offers on once the traffic is half decent.

No, but think of the mailing list for 'verse of the day' you could set up, point to a discussion forum message for that forum, and see what content subscribers generate there. :-)

Sounds like a good plan. Stick to it, try not to get discouraged during the ups and downs (both traffic and revenue). Like Demonez666 said, going from $100 to $300 per day is easier and should take less time than going from $0 - 100. Once you figure out how to get to $100, it's just a matter of scaling.

Cheers for the feedback and encouragement guys.

Seocracy - I see what you mean now. I was heading slightly down the wrong path with that DB. Thanks again for the DB and to cashflowrusty for showing me the light:)

I had a play with PeakClick on a new batch of cycle sites last night. I'm a big fan of the way you can easily blend PeakClick ads to not look like ads. The proof will be in the earnings though!

Rabbit, how is this project going? I really like your plan and am wondering how is the adsense on the converted cycle sites doing?

I mean the last batch of the cycle sites that you converted to have just some relevant content and adsense, how are they?

I would also like to add these questions..

1. How do you host these sites? please give precise info for a noob.
Shared hosting for each DB site and subdomains from those to cycle sites? VPS?...?

2. you also mention, you have uploaded 100,000 pages per week, why do you
have so many pages if each DB site just have few scripts that output from database using mod_rewrite.. what am i missing here?

If you could come up with some sort of answers i and probably other noobs would be very gratefull..

Sorry about my bad english.. nada native. Thanks!
