Hey everyone! So I was pretty much recommended to this forum by someone on BHW because I guess he realised that I was actually pretty serious about my goals in IM. So Kudos to my guardian angel! This forum has practically been a goldmine. Such an impressive wealth of knowledge for any newbie!
Anyway, the thing is, I'm 19 and in college and I'm pretty broke... I mean I'm not dirt poor or anything, but what I have now isn't really enough to invest the way I want to in my authority website. Most of my budget will go toward content.
So I basically had an idea (certainly not new or ground-breaking haha). I'm thinking of reselling fiverr gigs, and wordpress web design to local businesses and individuals. I live in Jamaica and sooo few people even know what fiverr is. Most of the websites for local business look like they were created in the 90's. its pretty pathetic. I genuinely believe that these people wanna invest in their websites and their online presence but they just can't find people who know what's what.
I don't have extensive experience in web design or anything, but I think I can make some pretty nice websites with premium wordpress themes. I won't be advertising my services as custom made websites because obviously that could prove to be a big obstacle if I get a client that wants something that requires extensive knowledge. With that said though, I've started learning basic html and am working my way up the design ladder. Because I think at the end of the day if I actually CAN make custom websites, I can charge quite alot more!
The fiverr gigs I'm thinking of reselling are logo design and fake social signals. I've found some pretty reputable guys on fiverr that I've personally ordered from many times, so I don't foresee any problems regarding this area.
Now the question is, what other fiverr gigs would you guys recommend me to sell to local clients? (BTW I'm not offering any kind of SEO services). I was thinking of also offering those gigs where people make the whiteboard drawings of a certain concept.
Also, seeing as how I'm gonna be doing this whole thing with making websites for clients, what do you guys suggest I do to manage multiple websites for clients? you know updating them and dealing with hosting. Do I make them sign up and pay for their own hosting or should I deal with all the hosting and just add them to an account of mine. (I don't really think traffic will be that much of an issue regarding the servers because as I said its local businesses and they probably won't be getting that much traffic anyway). Anyway, what do you guys recommend for staying organized and keeping on top of everything? Also any general recommendations for someone just starting out? I don't wanna go in over my head here.
