The example links were taken at random from a submission report. Some of the profile links will be indexed, others will not. If you do a backlink report on the wetpaint site promoted in the example you'll see that there are a few thousand links showing up now - more will continue to show up as they are indexed. How many will make it into google/yahoo's index? It varys.
