I recommend asking clients in more detail what they are looking for in their articles and passing that information on to your team as you are able. At the risk of a tangent myself I will say that I am a huge proponent of rich LSI content. It's probably the single most important part of my seo formula. I do a lot of this kind of writing and I've found it difficult to outsource. Most of my sites are made up of unique LSI articles > 600 words. Panda skipped over or boosted every one of my sites and I'm pretty confident that good LSI content was a contributing factor.
