This is a great relief to me. It was a shame what bloosky did, I'm glad its back in good hands and that there is the possibility of good things to come.

We have an important announcement to make today. I'm not entirely sure how to bring about this news so I am going to do my best and just come out with it. As many of you may know, Tracking202 was acquired by another company in our space known as Bloosky Interactive last November <Bloosky Acquires Tracking202> . However since then, many things have changed. A lot of things happened and as some of you may or may not know, I was no longer part of this company for the past few months. This has all changed now.

Today, I'm pleased to announced that the original founders of Tracking202 have undone the acquisition and Tracking202 is no longer a Bloosky Interactive company! As of earlier this week, we completed a deal with Bloosky to get Tracking202 back. Â I and a few members of the original Tracking202 team will be heading up the direction of the company moving forward.

We hope to continue innovating in our industry which is in need of great change more than ever. A lot has happened recently both with Tracking202, the affiliate industry and performance marketing space as a whole. We hope to change all of that for the better. We're bringing back the original Tracking202 culture that many of you have grown to know and fallen in love with. Â We are going to do our best to make Tracking202 even better starting by redoing everything that Tracking202 is currently.

We are going to be making some fairly large changes to Tracking202, some of which we've already began doing. One of the first things we will be doing is discontinuing Tracking202 Pro soon because we feel there are better opportunities for our company to tackle. We will be posting more and more updates on what's to come so please feel free to stop by our blog for further future updates.

We know we have a lot of work to do ahead of us and we look forward to making things happen for the community and the industry as a whole with these new changes. We do appreciate all of the support you guys have given us throughout the years and we look forward to working with you guys again.

Hello again,
Wes

I guess Bloosky realize the big mistake they made by acquiring tracking202. Since then the 202 brand has gone down hill...nobody really cared about them, even when they released a new version of p202 nobody wanted to upgrade..LOL!

Hopefully now things will get back on track...

Don't know why some of you are bitching I'm glad its back in their hands. Looking forward to future 202 changes and I have a feeling its only going to get better and better. Good news in my opinion.

Like how everyone got the email then thought, must make a thread!!

Tracking202 and the entire product line of "202" is useless. Anyone that is serious in this space has their own internal system built out that is highly scalable, secure, and fit to their specifications. Nobody trusts Wes or Bloosky anymore, not like many of us ever did.

You're either extremely lucky or extremely ignorant.

Almost all affiliates have come from humble backgrounds with only a few hundred or maybe a thousand dollars to start. And, I don't think they could have built their own "internal system built out that is highly scalable, secure, and fit to their specifications" using a few hundred/thousand dollars.

Prosper202 always was, and still is, a boon to affiliates because it does serve the purpose of tracking and analyzing analytics extremely well. I, for one, wouldn't have come this far had I not used tracking202, and I think many affiliates will agree.

It's an open-source, self-hosted script; I'm not sure what's there to "trust."

This is great news. I just canceled T202 Pro last month because it hasn't been accurate in tracking for...way too long. I stopped depending on it and should have canceled it a year ago. Stats202 is cool though.

I <3 Wes but he made some horrible decisions. Giving away prosper202 for free and then being acquired by Bloosky. You need a board of advisors!

Everyone makes mistakes in business, Wes is no exception. His business plan was solid but suffered from bad timing.

I'll tell you this, selling would not have been an option if you cheap asses would have donated even 0.01% of your net income. Those guys shed tears and blood giving you a platform to build million dollar empires ... and got little or nothing in return.

This is not directed @turtles but to everyone:
You're all a bunch of selfish pricks!

Perhaps, though we can't be blamed for their mistakes. The flip side of the coin is that they didn't put enough into their business plan to make it viable enough in the first place.

Being an armchair analyst for a sec I would posture a guess and say that they spread themselves too thin with spin off products. There are a lot of things that could have been done to improve upon as well as expand their core offering.

Calling people cheap and blaming them for not donating towards that is silly.

I think plenty of people would be happy to fork over cash for a better, more complete version of their self hosted platform.

To the person that claimed giving away a free version of their tracking software that can be self hosted was a mistake must have missed the old adage of "giving away the razors to sell the razor blades".
