I've been doing a little bit of research lately on drop shipping and found a ton of bullshit. Does anybody have any reputable links and resources about drop shipping? I'm in research mode ride now, so anything would be helpful, but I'm mainly looking for reliable drop shipping suppliers (but as I here thats like giving out keywords and LP), decent forums (the equivalent of what WF is to affiliate marketing), etc...

+rep to those who help.

I am having the same problem, haha. Finding reliable dropshipper info feels alot like it did when I got into affiliate marketing....wading through hours of bullshit before I find something I think might be reputable, and then having no clue how to tell.

There is a whole industry that is around marketing fake dropship info.

What exactly are you looking for? Just general products?

If it's just a single product or type of product with a limited amount of variations, ie not books, try contacting a company that sells them direct and see if you can set something up. I know someone who did this with train horns and it worked out pretty nicely.

Also try matcom distribution for Xbox, playstations and video games. I dont think they dropship, but they are GREAT for buying a few consoles at a time and selling them on ebay.

You could try buy rite dvd, but they charge a monthly fee. As long as you are not selling on ebay, they should be fine.

For the most part, yes. I have a bunch of niche sites that don't really tailor to CPA affiliate offers or anything like that. So it got me thinking about starting my own ecommerce site etc. Timothy Ferris recommended Worldwide Brands for good drop shipping info, but I feel like I'm buying an ebook. Hell we all know how to set up membership info sites like it, so while I'm sorting through all this bullshit I'm seeing a bunch of resources that are being pushed hard by affiliates. When I find a decent forum its a bunch of retards with shit-for-balls looking sites and shit-for-brains posts. But hey, that's just the barrier of entry for drop shipping I suppose, the so called 'dip'.

^^ Yea we posted within a minute of each other and I mentioned that resource. Anybody have any first hand experience with it? I don't give a shit about spending $300 on it, so long as it delivers. What I'm mainly interested in is minimum orders because I probably won't be doing much volume from the start.

They aren't the drop shippers. They pretty much just screen them for legitimacy.

Yea I understand the product. But I don't want to purchase a product that refers me to a bunch of shitty drop shippers that they scraped off of Google and are scams.

Honestly, what I do is monitor ebay for the hot selling items. I then go to google and search for that item in this format:

"product name" "dropship program
"product name" "dropship agreement"
"product name" "dropship application"
"product name" "distributorship"

That is how I find my dropshippers. But dont tell anyone or they will all be doing it.

Interesting. I guess I should have just looking for particular product dropshippers the whole time.

You'd be amazed!

It also works with general categories, too. For instance "acoustic guitar" "dropship agreement" yields a lot of scam results. But there are some legit companies on the first four pages as well.

One of those is TigerDirect. I am no fan of tiger direct, but the prices for their dropshipped acoustic guitar packages are AMAZING!

YESSSS. COMP GALLERY. Thanks a fucking bunch, I was looking for it like a year ago xD

THere was worldwidebrand or some shit, you paid $300 to get their list of dropshippers/wholesale but i asked for a refund because I didn't like drop shipping much. But their the best database. You could always try them out then ask for a refund.

You know - Some how I am a member of WB' light bulk distribution membership. I am not sure what I did to join, but I think it was like a $2 one time fee or something.

There are a lot of companies on that list - not dropshippers, but I am not overly impressed with it. As a matter of fact, I have never used any of the companies on the list. They mostly sell garbage - dollar store type stuff.

Judging from that membership, I wouldnt pay for their dropship membership. But, what do I know?

JamesH -

'Holefiller' on WF is a real brick and mortar company known as OCG Supply that has eighteen years experience in the space. He's worked for us for six years and we've LITERALLY not had one problem with him. David is his 'real' name, he's professional, he's nice and he's very intelligent. . .and creative. For the record, he's starting to do some unrelated-SEO/PPC stuff, and that's why he's on the board. If you want his email addy, phone number, PM/email me.
