Ringtones VS. Crush offers

By reading the board, I notice Ringtones are mentioned a lot and Crush offers are barely mentioned or talked about here ...

Having been in the Crush offer, mobile entertainment industry for 2+ years myself, I find that odd

Are you simply making more money with Ringtones ?

Have you ever pushed Crush offers ?

For those that push both, how do you compare ?
 


I think you target different things. Ringtones actually need more targeted traffic if you ask me. Crush are great general demo targets. Crush offers work for non-targeted traffic pretty well as well. Also crush offers advertising is blocked a number of places where ringtones offers are allowed. Just observations.
 
This mobile stuff is the real deal! Started with Aussie yesterday and did 90 leads, smaxor is right it converts in many general areas. Just wish Aussie has more people!!!

Anyone have a "crush" brain quiz for usa or canada?

I can't believe people sign-up for this stuff, but they do! Seen that crush shit everywhere and never got around to trying it, I wish I had months back because I am sure guys printed money with these offers.

For those who haven't tried running these crush offers yet, I highly suggest it if you are good at the content network.

I've never tried these types of ringtone offers but you're making me think I should give it a shot.

Are you direct linking, redirecting, or using this "brain quiz" you refer to above?

you might have to try on yahoo now, googles new mobile policy is a bitch to work with. Im not entirely sure if it applies to oversea advertising but ringtones here in the states are pretty much dead for advertising with google unless your bidding on random keywords

Yup, it also applies to overseas advertising.
 
I am being told privately that the ones pushing Crush offers won't come out publically and say it as they are doing very well for themselves ...

Which is fine ...

I just wouldn't be worried ... as you'd be surprised on how big the market is and how much untapped opportunity there is in mobile Crush offers.

For the past 2 years, I never had to turn to Ringtones as the volume was always there with Crush.

In NO way am I downgrading Ringtones ... I am just stating my experience.

As far as the yahoo commment goes, I hear you, I remember trying yahoo 4 months ago with fairly decent results. Nothing crazy in terms of volume ... but def a good place to start.

And the first comment about Crush not needing targeting as much as Ringtones ... I'm surprised, that's good info ... as I said, I don't push tones so I can't compare ...

Crush obviously converts much better with teen traffic ... (mostly female 60%+)

90 leads in 1 day for aussie, and that was your 1st day ? Nice goin bro or shall I say mate :D

and over 100 yesterday, alittle slower today though. i just transferred my content campaigns or good spots that i know works well for teens etc over to aussie and changed the ad text.

thats the thing with content you can transfer to other areas pretty easy...using adwords editor.
 
Nice ... do you just do aussie or do you also hit other countries ?

Australia and Canada are amazing for crush ... so is South Africa if you have traffic there :D

Usa though, still remains people's no.1 income source ... traffic is just huge in the Us of A :bowdown:

Ringtone guys have started hitting crush since reading this thread.

Been talking to them. 4-5 guys so far. Doing 50-100 leads per day each.

We're figuring out more ways together to hit crush ... been talking on aim ... even though it is mobile related, like ringtones, marketing them is a bit different. But hey, 50-100 leads per day, for their 1st days is impressive. That's close to $1000 per day.

My group and I are mostly media buyers ... but now I am noticing untapped methods, learning from the ringtone guys and brainstorming.

My prediction is the guys doing 100 a day now, will do 1000 a day a month from now ... let's see what happens

What crush offers are $10-$20/lead? I've never really looked into them but I thought they were like $5/lead?
 
Depends on the countries bro ... some countries can pay out more than others ... hit me up, I'll break it down for you on aim

But in all honesty ...

It doesn't just boil down to the payouts ... it is the conversions ... that is the strong hand of crush ... you target the right audience you'll see some pretty intense conversions ... so even though ringtone payouts are higher ... you're making more money with crush in that situation
