So just like everyone I was very dissapointed when I switched to ePN from CJ. My revenue tanked and there seemed to be nothing I could do. Now that PJN has launched, is everyone doing better?

Show some results! Let us know if you are doing better/worse/same as ePN and CJ compared to PJN.

ePN has finally been picking up for me lately, and I can't really switch to PJN because my BANS sites sit on v1.3. But let me know how PJN is working for you.

I was wondering the same thing. My ebay stats have been way off the past few days. EPN was showing me 100 or so click thrus per day for a few weeks, but since 6/27 it started showing 1k-1.5k clicks per day and still is. My G Analytics stats have not showed an increase in traffic over the past few days so I have no clue what is up with the EPN tracking system. I don't have an account with pepperjam though, hopefully someone else can compare the 2.

I don't see how switching to PepperJam can help, since I'm sure PJ relies on stats from eBay to feed their system. Is there something I'm missing?

I thought it is a different tracking system. I know for sure CJ had a different tracking system because I was making 7x more with CJ than ePN. how can that be explained?

how can that be explained?

An epic failure in merging links? Who the fuck knows...

Everything has been fine on epn, I switched April 1st...
I had commission pour into CJ for the first week or so from users that still had my cookie and everything.

Quit fuckin crying and get back to work... :xomunch:

lol. i'm tryin man. there's definitely issues with ePN tracking.

many people have noted it. i was making nothing for the first month of ePN...then all of a sudden i was making decent money. yes i know it takes time for them to finish the auction..but thats not what hpapened.

I haven't seen any revenue change. Clicks are the same, revenue is the same. The only thing I miss from CJ is seeing the new users that didn't activate. With EPN, I can only see the ACRUs.

If you are using the developer API, keep up with the forums and RSS feeds. When I switched my apps over to EPN and upgraded to the latest API, I found a bug where the ViewItemURL wasn't reflecting the AffiliateTrackingInfo only when using the Motors site. That could have a been a huge loss in revenue if I hadn't caught that.

interesting. are you using BANS? maybe that is causing an issue.

PJN relies entirely on EPN tracking. The only thing that can come out of using PJN is worse tracking.

Why would anyone introduce another layer into the tracking when they don't need to? Not to mention the probability that PJN will shave off at least a FEW of your leads. It doesn't make sense.

Would you run a ringtone offer through Azoogle or anyone else if you could go direct to merchant?

Pepperjam are good at PR, simple as that. They are operating on a sub-affiliate business model within EPN. Every month, their account is/should be on the top payment tier. For every legit ACRU their affiliates generate for themselves, PJ get $10 !!! (The difference between tiers).

I don't know why nobody is realizing this.

Unless Pepperjam offer you $35 for EVERY ACRU and the top tier (75%) commission, you are an idiot if you go with them.

Edit*** I have no problem with PJ at all, it just seems silly that anyone would go through them for Ebay.

the only reason to run a program like that through an intermediary is back in the glory days (for us) w/ eBay when Azoogle was offering much more money due to the aggregate volume/tier pricing that they had w/ eBay.

Why anyone would switch and think tracking could possibly improve is beyond me.

Oh- and we've had zero issues w/ EPN after a few hiccups in the beginning week or so. Revenue is consistent w/ what CJ was, and this is significant revenue monthly not a few hundred dollars (read: statistically significant).

In fact our EPC is right around 20% higher than it was over a 3 year average w/ CJ.

No complaints, aside from the shitty reporting interface.

Just started with EPN, never had it with CJ, and even though I do have an account with PJ, I won't switch until I hear from people that it is actually doing better.

I've been to the Forum for EPN on Ebay and it seems like the people in charge are "trying" to fix any tracking issues, but it's a common complaint there, and it should be in their best interest to get things fixed up. They have a lot of room to grow, and with Ebays cash, hopefully they will expand the functions and transparency of the network in the future.

What kind of EPC were you/are you seeing?

Completely agree. All the complaints are from those pushing a few thousand clicks a month. I feel embarrassed for them. Talk of law suits and crying like children.

Not a single issue here either. Had our first $10,000 day with eBay in June and while we were only with the program on CJ a year, EPC is about 1/3 more over the same period. I actually put this down to the recent increase in seller fees. I didn't see any affiliates boycott ebay then ;)

Current EPC is ~ $30-$32 (average across all regions).

As for Pepperjam, as I already said, anyone putting another party in between them and the source is just an idiot. It really defies logic.

Those self proclaimed "Super affiliate" retards (you know who they are) really have no clue. Pushing PJN like it's actually a good thing for EPN (all for their pittiful $50 "blog about us" bonus from PJN). I guess if internet celebrity is more important to them, that's great. I'd rather make money and I'd rather I didn't have to compete intermittently with the poor saps that take their "advice".

Little tip for you guys: Most countries not listed in EPN actually do have affiliate programs. Speak to your EPN contact about getting them enabled in your account.

wow...$10k day...wow.

and i agree with you when you say the ones complaining get a few thousand clicks...(me).

it seems if your getting a low amount of clicks, revenue dropped significantly from CJ to ePN.

i do agree with your logic of putting another person in front of the source, didnt think of it like that.

PS...are you using BANS? maybe its the fact that BANS geotargetting isnt working and a lot of my traffic is from other countries?

If we were using BANS we too would be in the whiney little fuck "camp" over on the EPN boards. If you cannot use the API to build something yourself, you deserve to be earning only pennies through the program. Affiliate marketing is hard work. REALLY hard work.

Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely NO problem with PJN. In fact, I emailed Kris and told him how smart an idea I thought it was. Think about it, they don't even need to take a % cut from ebay (which they probably are anyway) and they are already making a fortune on the ACRU and commission tier differences. It's borderline genius. If PJ has just 1000 affiliates generating at least ONE ACRU a day.... fuck me. Not to mention the data they are collecting. THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ALL ACRU INFORMATION and sites referring those ACRUS. Some people forget that PJN is not just a network. They are a "super affiliate" themselves.

The more I think about this the more I feel sick that I didn't think of it myself.

damn, very angry.

i do not know how to use the api, so i guess im in the whiney fuck camp. i make much more than pennies though...but still im sure i could be making much more.

Sorry, wasn't directed at you personally. Keep going, it's one of the more... "stable" programs out there and great for the recession :)

thanks:)

care to share some examples of how you are using the API? (if not its cool), you can also PM me to explain if you want. it would be appreciated. obviously no one wants to say how they make money

Obviously ;) That's why I don't have a blog or sell shitty ebooks.
