What are people using to track keywords? alot of super-affs (i.e. uberaffiliate) have inhouse keyword ppc tracking programs in place. What are they and where can I get them.

I have my own in house, half-baked, keyword tracking setup -but I am not 100% pleased with it. I have seen what products say they can do, but dont want to invest in anything unless it is recommended by a WF user.

Does anyone know who wrote uberaffiliates tracking software? Where can I buy? Who else has some really slick-willy tracking they would like to sell or share.

Thanks,

Rick Astley

tracking202 = fine for small time. If you're doing any big time stuff, I don't think you would want your numbers out in the open. Just my nickel minus three.

I just wrote my own system last night. Putting the finishing touches on it right now. I think that custom tracking systems are the way to go because you can really do whatever you want (obviously) and don't have to have a bunch of stuff that you might not use.

I'm pretty siked on my system.

Here's a question for the big PPC folks. With tracking software, in house or otherwise, what kind of information would you say is the most important to be pulling/tracking? (other than the obvious). Anything anyone should look out for with purchasing programs and/or writing their own that you've found beneficial?

All right smart ass........What the fuck do you use for tracking?
If you don't have a better method to share, you should shut the fuck up.

Have a spreadsheet with 2 columns Keywords, Keyword Number

Yoinks is a Douchebag, 1

Jackeyy is a dog raper, 15

The just pass the number of that keyword like this

MyAffiliateLink.com | My Affiliate Link | Pay Per Click Affiliate | Click Affiliate | Affiliate Per Click
www.myaffiliatelink.com/?subid=2
www.myaffiliatelink.com/?subid=3

to your network

at the other end they will tell you what number converted, keeping the actual keyword safe in your excel spreadsheet.

To CMS all this which is a lot cleaner you just use imagesandwords idea.

If he really wants to go that extra mile he could color coordinate the columns in his excel spreadsheet to match his campaigns. Maybe have a cool legend below to determine whats what.

Rick, you can start with More Advanced Click & Keyword to DirectTrack System Conversion Tracking | Affiliate, SEO and PHP Coding Blog - OOOFF.com and then grow it further to what is required by YOU. Track whatever you think can help you get rid of non-converting stuff (like keywords, source of traffic, time, region etc.)
