So over the last few days I have had quite the roller coaster ride with an affiliate network.
I am trying to piece together some information - even though I feel as I should not be the one doing it.
I'm looking for thoughts on how to proceed now that I feel I am at the end of what I can do.
Heres the deal - I advertise dating offer "x" on Facebook and get around 1400 clicks between a span of 2 days. I notice I haven't got a single
lead...
Enough to make anyone cringe...
thats funny
... Now, since Facebook cut the shit with redirects and such, I am left with no option (in order to keep ads moving) but to direct link, taking out the crucial tracking aspect on my end (Im an idiot:xomunch
Between yesterday and today I have been speaking with Managers, etc on what can be done, and why there is not one single registered lead showing. Well I get the canned "This is what constitutes a lead.."
Then I get told it "appears" the tracking pixel fell off
... can't lie I was okay at that point.... I figure if the "IT guys" say it looks like it fell off/ not firing I should be in good position to comp lost earnings... Obviously not what I "Think" I should have made... But I can deal with issues in technology. This is where I get confused... After hearing of hopes through last night and today I get an email right at the end of business... here is an excerpt;
But wait a minute... Maybe I could sign up with my link and test it for myself? :error:
Nope...

All the fun spam that came with the confirmation email
Not to mention - I call this Network's 24 Hour line :error: lmao what a joke!
Spoke with Linda who answered "Hello"... Explain my problem (all the while I'm thinking in my head "She has no clue which way is up from here..." So I throw in the casual "Ya know?" and "Uh...Uhh... What is your phone # in case we get disconnected?" Sputters from her mouth...
I gotta admit, it was a good way to get past my question lol... Then I hold... and get told my message was passed on the the "on-call" guy and he MAY get back to me...
So I guess this leaves me with the "What are my options?"
Are affiliate networks not responsible for tracking? Are they not required to maintain databases of information on traffic for certain campaigns? I mean, every single clicks went through their "redirect/tracking" urls... so why can they not find information on the clicks?
Well, I found info on that as well...
I'll wait for more to chime in... I'm confused about how to approach this any further.

this leads me to believe I'm fucked...If there is any other information you have regarding any of the leads you sent, please send it over so I can get them to look all of this up for us.
Earlier today I said that the pixel looks like it may have fallen off, but I found out that the client filled out the offer directly on the site, as opposed to using one of our test links that we sent over. Once we had them test with our test link, we did see the lead go through.
