Ok people, I'm about to ask you all to vote for me again in round 2 of the next internet millionaire, so as a bribe, here's an easy-to-follow system that has made me over 100k in since November:
1. Go to Ripoffreport.com and on the front page of their website, they have a list of companies that have a bunch of complaints against them... there's hundreds...
2. Do a little bit of research on the company, read the complaints, and find out what it is that has people mad, and write a short 20-50 page report on how to get even with the company.
Don't want to be labeled an 'e-book writer'? No prob, just make a bunch of blog posts about the bastards. But you'll make more money with the report.
3. Write a quick sales letter or blog from the perspective of someone who's been ripped off, and has gotten even. Oh, you're too good for that? Then write it from the perspective of someone who's anti-scam.
Especially scam x (the scam you chose in step 1).
I've used both, and they both work. (point of view of customer converts higher, though)
A great way to create 'stickiness' and get signups on blogs or convert sales if you decided to sell a report is to throw in what I call a "class action bonus" where I offer to keep the customers alerted if there's ever a class action brought against the companies in question, and I post the number of people who have already signed up.
4. Now that you've got some content that will make these poor ripped off souls pay attention to you, it's time to slide in with your solutions. (yes, plural)
a. If during your research, you found the scheming scam to affect it's victims credit, why not suggest a 100% free credit report. You know... the kind that pays you $15-$30 PER LEAD.
b. There's a SUPER HIGH converting offer out there called LifeLock that pays out $30 per signup. The only place I've been able to find it is on CJ, but it's worth it.
I've tested the different intervals in which to place this offer, and have found that doing it pretty quick in your relationship shows higher conversions.
(I've used this offer in cases where the customers hadn't complained about their credit being affected and it still converted around 40%)
c. I will ALWAYS promote some kind of credit repair to these customers because they fucking need it and already trust me (i make this offer usually a couple of weeks after they subscribe) and my best converting program to date is Lexington Law firm. ($37 per sale)
You get the idea, and I'm sure you can come up with just as good if not better funnel for rolling up sales, and there are a few other things I'm doing, that frankly, I would never tell you even if I was asking for a vote to become president.
Basically, your going to be making (with just the 3 offers I mentioned) around $49 - $67 per customer. (unless you sell a report... then you're looking at over $100 per customer)
Now, for some traffic. See? I'm not gonna leave you hangin!
There's a shitload of people who get ripped off every single day. duh. When you found scam x in step 1, hopefully there was a bunch of angry posts. Guess what? The posts only make up about 1% of the people who are fucking PISSED!
Some really good ways to get traffic to your site are:
1. jump into the ripoffreport posts and tell people about how there's a way to fix scam x good. Don't worry, ripoffreport won't let you spam them because they moderate, but you can tell people about your site... especially if you have an easy name to remember.... like scamcompanysucks.com
2. another good way to get high converting traffic is to use adwords for content. A lot of the major anti-spam forums monetize using adsense, and their posts are rife with keywords you can target.
3. spyfu or xray the scam company's keywords if they have any and simply post a PPC ad on those keywords asking if said company is a scam.
you'll find out for sure when the sales start flooding cuz people are pissed.
again, each company is different on where you can find hordes of pissed off customers.
Just a quick sidenote:
When I first started doing this, it was cuz I was pissed at a company. Then, when I made 10k in a week.. I started doing a new one every couple of months. I have not yet failed at making at LEAST 15-20k per month.
If you do start using this sytem, feel free to ask questions, and I'll keep up and help out any way I can.
See if you can beat my monthly record of: 27k in December 2006
Peace.
